What's the difference between an on-premise and an off-premise club?
At an on-premise club sex actually takes place on the premises. An off-premise club is a meeting place for couples but sex is not allowed to take place on the premises. Encounters is an off-premise club.
What can we expect?
If you've never been to a "couples" club before it's probably not what you're expecting. The club is very nice with an upscale atmosphere. You're not going to be pressured and there aren't people having sex in the corners. What you will find are other like-minded couples having a good time, socializing, and dancing. The club purposefully designed to encourage a social atmosphere. Music is played at moderate volumes and is focused on the dance floor so that you can carry on a conversation without having to yell. If you do find another couple that you'd like to talk with but are feeling a little shy our hostess or host will be happy to make a polite introduction.
Do the women dress provocatively?
Some do and some don't. Women, if you've never been and you want to be on the safe side dress as you would for a nice dinner if you were trying to look sexy .

Swinging is a term that encompasses many different ideas. To the layman the term "wife-swapping" and swingers are the same. Swingers come from all walks of life. The main bracket tends to be middle to upper income, middle age, (30-50) and married. What is the best way to get started?
It may seem less intimidating to get started by correspondence, but, sooner or later, you'll have to face that first personal encounter anyway, so we recommend going directly to a gathering place. There will be less pressure, more options, and you won't waste an evening trying to shake someone who wrote you a bunch of fabrications. And, don't just go once; there will probably be different people in attendance at different times. How should we choose a website for our personal ad?
It's easy enough to find sites that claim to be meeting places for swingers; too easy, in fact, for there are hundreds out there. Our best advice, since we certainly haven't tried them all, is to choose the one you are most comfortable with. You might not be able to judge a book by its cover, but you can get a pretty accurate feel of a site's services by the pictures and ads displayed. If you're looking for friends, a site full of porno probably isn't a good match. Likewise, avoid sites that aren't honest up front about their requirements and charges. Finally, we suggest that a site that keeps pestering the viewer with additional windows or that is difficult to exit is probably not going to prove as sincere as you might prefer. Will I be expected to wear a condom?
Condom usage among swingers varies widely. At clubs that have a very open membership, where people often have sex with folks they've never met before, condoms are quite common. At the other extreme, at private parties where most everybody knows everybody, condoms are seldom employed. But, you just never can tell. So, even if you believe that latex barriers are the antithesis of intimacy, we advise packing your rubbers wherever you go.

Are most swingers bisexual?
Depends on their gender. The breakdown for females seems to be about 20-40-20-20. That is, 20 percent of women prefer women to men; 40 percent really enjoy sex with women, but prefer men; 20 percent aren't really attracted to, but sometimes will play with, women; and 20 percent find the idea distasteful. Men are pretty much the other way around. You could swing for a long time and never run across a man who preferred sex with men over sex with women. Maybe five percent of men in swinging would admit (at least to themselves) that they are bisexual, and another 20 to 30 percent are bi-playful but if you don't send the right signals, you might never discover that.

I have a sensitive job, aren't I putting it at risk by swinging?
People have lost their jobs because their swinging life was discovered. Usually, however, they did something pretty dumb (like putting compromising pictures on the Web) that triggered the trouble. Also, police raids on clubs have happened, but almost never are the clientele given any trouble, just the operators. Swingers we have known include doctors, dentists, lawyers, teachers, media personalities, high-ranking military officers and intelligence personnel, and members of several local police departments. Some were more cautious than we, but they all managed to enjoy themselves. For those with especially sensitive jobs, we recommend sticking to private parties, or at least, avoiding clubs with unrestricted membership.

What if I meet someone I know?
This question occurs to just about everyone who entertains ideas of swinging. The common answer is, Anyone you meet is there too! Of course, youve already thought of that. You worry, though, that others might not be as discreet as you or might not have as much to lose from public exposure. There are two reasons not to be overly concerned. First, people who are indiscreet typically have very short careers in swinging. They dont get invited back to parties and are quickly barred from clubs. Second, if these people tend to talk too much, you probably would have heard them talking already. If you didnt know that they were swingers, they arent likely to tell anyone that you are. If you meet someone you know at a club, they might claim that they are just looking. In which case, you can easily make the same claim. If the encounter occurs at a private party, our best advice is to have a good chuckle and enjoy each other.

How can we be sure well like swinging?
You cant be sure that you will enjoy any particular swinging experience. But, so what? No doubt, you have been served terrible food at restaurants, been disappointed with a novel, suffered through an awful movie, and otherwise not always found life quite as satisfying as you wish. Such experiences did not prevent you from trying other eateries, reading other books, watching more films, etc. Right? So, if should have an unpleasant swinging experience (and you most likely will, sooner or later), thats okay. Figure out what went wrong and try again. For most of us, the good times far outnumber the not-so-good.

Rules Of Conduct

Every club and most individuals have a standard of conduct. The one universal rule is

Here is a basic list of rules, although it should not be considered complete, but a starter.

1. NO means NO !!!! Always!!!!!!

2. Safe sex is the only sex!

3. This is about having fun, nothing more.

4. Swinging can enhance a strong, honest, healthy relationship. It will not salvage a shaky marriage, but destroy it.

5. Your primary concern, and the person you leave with is your primary partner.

6. Build friendships. You don't have to play with someone for them to be your friend. And having lifestyle friends can be a great support system.

7. There is nothing less attractive than a drunk, or spaced-out couple.

8. Take it slow. Its not a race, but a journey.

9. Go with the flow. If things don't seem to be working out one evening, don't force it. After all, if you don't enjoy their company, do you really want to have sex with them anyway?

10. Be honest. If you meet a couple and it doesn't click, say something. We are all adults and can handle the truth. If they can't, you are better off finding out early anyway.

11. Be respectful. Pushy people are the biggest turnoff.

12. Talk to your partner about every possible scenario. Sooner or later, you will find yourself in it. (Example - you are not having fun, while your spouse is having a great time. What would like the other to do - stop, leave the room and allow the others to continue, etc.).

13. Be respectful of others privacy. The guys at work might think you are studly because you swing, but pointing out another swinging couple to them is wrong.

Do we need to disrobe or take off our clothes once we get in?
NO! YOU DON'T NEED TO TAKE OFF YOUR CLOSE ONCE YOU GET IN! We understand that everyone has their own level of comfort and we do not require -- or push -- anyone to take off their clothes when you enter. And if you want, you never have to take your clothes off.

We are new to this scene and what should we expect when we enter?
First, you must remember that we were all new to the scene at one point and as a general rule, you will not meet a more friendly and fun crowd anywhere in Manhattan. Our membership is quite diverse. About a third of our members are very open and comfortable with having sex with others and in public. Another third of our members would best be described as exhibitionist. These members love to be watched as they and their partner do their thing. Most often, these exhibitionist couples do not swap partners. The rest of our guests are couples who are confident with themselves and each other and who are tired of the same old boring NYC clubs and want something new and erotic.

What is expected of us once we get in?
NOTHING! All we ask is that you just enjoy yourselves, be honest with everyone you meet, and leave you r attitudes at home. Your website states no single men but I am single man. Can I bring a date?
Yes. By couples we mean that all men must come with a female guest. It does not have to be your girlfriend or your wife. We do this because we like to keep the ratio of women to men 60/40. Also, we are not a dating service, so please do not ask us to fix you up with a single women who is attending our party. There are many great websites to find beautiful women who are into the scene

Do you supply toys at your party or should I bring my own?
Personally, this is my favorite question. Since everyone is different, it is hard to please all... Some like the small pocket rocket and some like the huge dildo. Some like to be paddled and some like to be whipped yes, there is a huge difference. Because there are so many possibilities, our parties are B.Y.O.T (bring your own toys).
